Family update

The Tracy Press ran an article this week that said Tracy broke a record with its 115 degree temps. It's cooled down since then, thank goodness! Though, I think I'll take the Central Valley's 115 over Fargo's -40! Sorry Kates.

Family update - Katy Joy has spent her summer skate boarding with Nathaniel and working full time at the men's shelter in Fargo. Gabe looks more like he's from So Cal than from So Dak. He's spent his summer working landscaping with his friends and has quite a tan! Mom is back home after a month in Cali and I (Danielle) am anxiously waiting for my roomie to come out in two weeks.
Also, Kristen called me tonight and asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. I am so excited and honored!
That's all for now.

You can spot these two roaming the streets of Tracy, Cali. by next month. Danielle's friend/college roommate, Chelsey, will join her in California to take a teaching position in Concord, Cali. Danielle's ecstatic!

Care and her roommate from Pepperdine University, Cindy Smith. They were not only joined at the hip in those days, but also a couple of Pepperdine hotties! The university paper took notice. ;)

During our weekend at Shaver Lake, Ca, the Kleyn/Mac fam became enthralled with Jenga. We made it to 36 levels. Beat that! It's a little embarassing.

It's official! Kristen Kleyn and Ben Akia are engaged. Amy is maid of honor, and Laura (Kristen's longtime roomie), Ben's sister and Danielle are the bridesmaids. The wedding date is set for Nov. 19. Congrats Kristen and Ben!

Just minutes before Care was soaked by a wave at Newport Beach. Care and Danielle spent a week in Southern California. We visited Sea World, Laguna Beach and Newport Beach. Danielle tried her hand at Orange County's most difficult golf course.

The MacMurchy Clan

We've created a blog! That's right. The MacMurchy fam has become technologically savvy. So this will be a great way for all of us to keep abreast (sorry) of everyone's happenings. This is for the Macs, the Boroms, the Housers, the Kleyns and beloved friends - really whomever is bored enough to pull up our page. Since our family spans all four time zones, this will keep us all in the know. I'll (Danielle that is) e-mail everyone the password so we can all keep in touch. Post photos, news and whatever Godly hoopla comes about. And ... let the fun begin!
