Cheri's wonderful dad, Ivan O'Neil, is explaining the location at the peak of our hike: Little Matterhorn and Lake Avalanche. Papa has reached the summit of every mountain in south Glacier Park. Truly unbelievable!

weekend in FarG

Good times in the prairie lands with the Kids. We skipped out Friday for a late-night martini coupled with stimulating convo ranging from Colorado to the woes of credit debt. When I asked Nathaniel today if we talked about "God's big world," he said, "That about sums it up!" For sure

First camping weekend 2009

The Kids camped this weekend a mile from Elissa's home in Spearfish Canyon. Morgan also learned to ride a bike without the training wheels.

Thank goodness for Gabe the hovering Safety Guy. When my dad first released me screaming down my California street, I smashed into a chain link fence. How does that darn brake work?
My counsel for future generations: Girls do not ride boys' bikes ~ that bar is a killer. There almost were NO future generations. Took my breath away 50 years ago!
