Gabe, Elissa and Morgan skied with Elissa's family over the Easter holiday in the Black Hills. Morgan took a lesson while Gabe snowboarded and Elissa was a Snow Bunny on the black diamonds. Right E?

Sadly outside my windows in H20town it looks pretty much like the mts. the kids skied a couple of weeks ago. We have a bloomin' blizzard brewing. But stop the madness, it's pert-near April 1st! Maybe I'm an April Fool for dwelling here?! Nah, only an occasional whine this time of year. More evidence of global warming.

Palomino under the Bay Bridge

Our first stop was dinner at the Palomino with Cheri, the Nadlers and these two Beauties. The salmon was delicious, thank you very much, and then on to the San Francisco Ballet.

Living far away in SD, makes one savor and never take this Delight for granted. What a night!

Easter pics

The hymn "Christ the Lord is Risen Today" should probably be the Clarion Call to worship at all Easter services but alas, I missed singing it at church Sunday. But not to worry, Molly and Steve led the lovely proclamation at our Easter gathering at the Kinney's.

"Christ has risen."

"He has risen indeed."

(And don't look now, there are 4 generations of Ainsworth/Kinneys perched on that couch; Keely being the newest lassie to join the clan.)

Crunch the numbers, Friends, it's 3 full months until Danielle and Aaron join in Holy Matrimony. (I love reclaiming the Sacred Meanings.)

So we're ahead of the 8-ball in the MOB attire department.

Whoopey ~ perhaps by the time Gabriel takes the Holy Vows, I will have this timing down to a science. However, I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

The Houser Clan

Could my family of origin be any goofier? The 'old man' is Cousin Dyl the Thrill, my nephew, who was dressing the part at his Dad's 55th birthday roast. The guy in Atilla the Hun hat is my 55 year old brother, Donald. He's the extrovert of the family. I'm the sheepish one in the corner compared to my brother. Let's just say Donald never met a stage he didn't adore. A treat, he is.

Persimmon

We used to call it "orange." But Danielle's wedding color is Persimmon and I love it! The best was Danielle's shock that it was a fruit. She had no idea; thought it was a new-fangled color. Surely they have persimmons in Cali! Reminds me of the rising sun! Gorgeous.

"The Lord has sent me to comfort those who mourn. He sent me to give them flowers in place of their sorrow, olive oil in place of tears and joyous praise in place of broken hearts." Isaiah 61

more Worship with Robert

Thanksgiving 2004 with Robert

Thanksgiving three years ago

For some reason I opened a CD Dave Moffatt had given me ages ago featuring photos and 3 video clips from the last Thanksgiving and Christmas with Robert. I had never opened them until today. There was Robert laughing as he led us in sweet family worship. Those were the days.

No sound came through on the movies at first so I could not hear Robert singing. Oddly I haven't been able to muster Robert's voice in my head since he left us 3 years ago. I will hear him someday in my ears, I know. But not today. Enough to see our blessed families enjoying the Presence of the King.

P.S. I suddenly realized why the sound wasn't coming through and then there it was Robert's voice saying, "Senorita Marguerita. What's going on?" oh my word...

*Gabriel was serving in Iraq or he would have been on bass.
