More family updates

Samuel's first hair trim at Mark's Barber Shop.
His dad's gentle distraction is so dear.

Congratulations to the Family Artist.

Two of my favorite journalists

Morgan played a newspaper investigator in her school play,
"Have You Heard."
Her character?  Melva Natler.
(How darling is Ms. Natler?!)

Danielle Nadler, Leesburg Today education reporter
and deputy editor
(She's a beaut too!)

Come to think of it, how 'convenient' is it to install an entire server in one's home?
More or less convenient than setting up two accounts on one device?
Or, as the good Governor illustrates, managing a couple of devices while nursing Trig?
Where's the logic?
As Professor Digory Kirke exclaimed in dismay:
“Bless me, what do they teach them at these schools!” – C.S. Lewis, The Last Battle

Insightful and encouraging article

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2015/03/moral_ignorance_cripples_obama.html#.VP8QmHJphns.blogger

The point is not that the United States achieves perfection in its moral rightness. The point is rather that the United States always strives for moral good, and that that striving is encouraged by the immutable principles present in both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.  Alexander Grass

And I would gingerly add that the founding documents were founded on the Foundation of Scripture.  No wonder they are revered.

More veracity from Thomas Sowell

Academics often defend tenure, despite its many negative consequences, on grounds that it allows academic freedom for independent minds. Yet there are few places in America with more taboos and intellectual intolerance than academic campuses. The young are indoctrinated with demographic "diversity" that contrasts with a squelching of diversity of ideas on social issues. Thomas Sowell

A face to launch 1,000 ships

Amelia is a brave little darling.  With not a peep from her during the cleaning and bandaging of her chin-y-chin-chin, she said after it was finished: "I did so good."  Yes you did, sweet baby.

Lord, revive us again

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2015/02/the_poo_generation.html

Although there is much truth in Pamela Geller's thought-inducing article, I am thankful to report that her broad brush does not drably color all young people.  There is - and will always be - a Righteous Remnant.  And blessed be God, my three children along with their spouses and  four grandchildren are optimistic Jesus lovers.  Even the wee-est of the Wee shed the love abroad.  Isaiah Robert led us in the Hail Mary before bedtime the other night.  Salt and light is beckoning for those who grow weary of the dark.

prose vs poetry

Holy vs. hollow
Sacred vs silly
pleasure vs Joy
Soul-quenching vs aching thirst

Joy to the world

The best they can do.

Then there is this:  A river whose streams make glad the City of God.

Mr. James Robertson setting off at 8 bells
for his 21 mile trek to work.
He will arrive at 2:00 for his afternoon shift.
Banker friend, Blake Pollack, sometimes picks up James
shortening his 21 mile work walk.

Happy as a clown to be gainfully employed.
Mr. Robertson's work route.
He's walked this daily for 10 years.
Perfect work attendance.
