Today I saw a caterpillar undress. Along with 40 sixth graders, we watched amazed as beneath the shed skin was a chrysalis - the womb for a monarch butterfly.
Mr. Bergan, nearly a Rhodes Scholar in the wildlife department, mused that it would be interesting to cut open the wondrous chrysalis and "see what it looks like inside" while the butterfly is developing. But even as he said it, Mr. B seemed to cringe: "Of course, I would never cut open the chrysalis." I grimaced too at the thought. But then I realized that although each of us knew it would somehow be a small violation to destroy the lovely thing, a crescendo thought swelled: "Why are we so cavalier about a woman's womb?"

Ohh ... profound mom. Let's take these thoughts to a book, hmmm...
Care, I once read that though the butterfly may look like it is struggling to break out of the chrysalis, and even if it is struggling and appears it won't break free, we are never to touch it or help it out. God designed it just so, in order for the butterfly to develop strength as it is immerging from the chrysalis. If we were to 'help' it, it may be weak the rest of its life and never fly. Perfect example of how He has a plan even thru our struggles.
I witnessed a catepiller in it's 'J' hanging from the top of the jar transform into the green chrysalis this summer. Unbelievable to see. I couldn't wrap my mind around it. How did it happen? It really was His magic.
Loves!
