Things I love about Sarah Palin
She did not pursue the presidency or national office. It came to her.
Power is not the driving fuel in her tank; service is.
Sarah talks to the American people and doesn't give a hoot in the hotplace about impressing the media with their 'hidden' agenda. Ollie ollie oxen, free free free! Translation: "All ye, All ye, All come free."
She does not have to depend on 'rhetoric;' she actually has a record. Actions not just words.
She leaves Room for God. One example is her righteous choice to consider the womb off-limits trusting that every person has the potential for a wondrous life. She does not have to bear the crushing burden of ‘choosing’ because that’s God’s job. She knows that each child will teach us in his own inimitable way the path of humility and sacrifical devotion.
She is a woman in good humor. The feisty twinkle says, “I don’t take myself to be the savior. But I do know Him. I’m just His servant; an apprentice to Jesus serving His purposes to my generation in “word and deed.”’
I love her integrity. She can tell her accomplishments and be who she is because there’s nothing to hide.
She is a “doer” and not just a “talker.”
She is inspiringly positive. Am I the only one who is weary to the bone with manufactured crisis? Let's be in good humor, shall we? All is well
She knows that every decision and accomplishment is fueled by one’s character. Not “What can I get out of this and how can I steer the credit to myself?”
She holds all things lightly; knowing that Washington D.C. is not the end-all, cure-all. God is and He will have the last and final word.
She ‘gets’ servant-leadership. She has modeled that in her public service and will continue.
Sarah hasn’t climbed the ladder rungs hoisting herself up on the backs of those in front or using the sides of the ladder as ‘connections’ to reach her goal. She sees a need and serves. She sees a wrong and corrects it. I like that ~ so simple.
While folks are kicking around Sarah Palin’s IQ like a football missing the uprights, she is quietly and graciously...WISE! When one knows the Smartest Man in the Universe, one can afford to take their IQ with a grain of salt. Salt that preserves. Who gives a rip about Harvard pedigrees when there’s no wisdom to support the IQ.
She wears hooded sweatshirts. It's Alaska, for cryin' outloud!
She still remembers how most Americans live ~ going to work, raising their families to become upright citizens, and interfacing their lives with others in goodwill and fellowship. She remembers because she's been doing this. Joe Biden had to pretend he frequents Home Depot. goodness...

Palin said she referred to a New York Times piece about Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers, but that article concluded, "The two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers, whom he has called 'somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8.'"

cm ~ Your quote of NoBama's words are correct, cm. They were spoken to downplay his long standing association with Ayers while working together at the Woods Fund and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a couple of fundraising enterprises. It's documented that although Sen Obama was only 8 when Ayers bombed the pentagon, the two were associates/friends as adults in 2001 when Ayers lamented that he "hadn't done enough" during his reign of terror. Ayers remains unrepentant which is what raises concerns about his influence on Obama. (Another MothahLand hater like Jeremiah Wright.) It was a William Ayers fundraising event - I believe in Ayers' home - where Obama announced his intentions to run for national office as a senator. So from all appearances, Sen Obama and Wm Ayers have had Porch Time.
To be fair, it is your prerogative to flush down the commode any campaign finger-pointing that you deem a bunch of hoooey. I disregard reports all the time out of mistrust of the messenger's motives. You mistrust Gov Palin. Fair enough

Mother, you are correct that Barry Obamanation announced his canidacy at Billy's home. Also, a person's association for the most important job in the world have to be considered. Especially when that candidate has no accomplishments other than being a 'community aggitator' to compare them by. What is a community organizer, anyway? Statically, S. Chicago (Obama's Community) is more dangerous than the combat zone in Iraq. Now maybe some say we shouldn't be in Iraq. Maybe not, if you don't hold America's Freedoms sacred. Regardless of all the issues there are for this election, one thing I can think of is that our greatest enemies are endorsing Barrack Obama. Enough said on that national security issue.
Oh yeah, and Barry voted four times to refuse medical care for a baby that survived an abortion. Ask Gianna Jessen what she thinks about that idea!
