childlike or childish

Sometimes being a 50-something child doesn't pan out!

Today as I was going towards my car, I noticed long icicles streaming from my friend's garage. Too tempting! They just screamed, "Come knock me down!" I love the clatter of icicles falling especially if I caused it. So I set out. Three steps into the excursion across the driveway, I nearly bellied-up. Icy indeed! I never made it to the taunting icicles. There they hang 'til the sun takes 'em down. Wish I could hear the clatter!

Oh Caren,
I hope you are not cracked or broken anywhere! My brother did that once when he was a kid. It was fun for him too until it literally sliced his forhead open! That looks like a cozy little place in the hills!

On another subject, I am thinking of the Macmurchy family a lot this week. It cannot be four years already since Robert went 'home'. I want you to know that although he is not 'here', he continues to bless us as a family. Over the Christmas Break, we made cookies for our neighbors (tradition....I love for the kids to run down the street with plates of cookies spreading a little cheer...and calories!). When I told Lola of this, she said, "I wish I was your neighbor." So, the next day at church, I had the kids make up a plate for Lola with a picture and card that said, "Robert Macmurchy said 'everyone is your neighbor'....so, Happy New Year, Neighbor! (something like that). Of course, I know the Bible says this, but Robert lived it and his nuggests of wisdom and love live on.
Hugs to all of you,
Jeanne and family

Oh bless you, Jeanne! You have the world's best memory. Sometimes folks tell me stories I never knew about Robert. Wow...

Thank you.

I love that. Thanks for the reminder, Jeanne (I mean, Ms. Horning). That reminds me that Aaron and I should greet our new neighbors with cookies. My roomies and I in Cali made all of our neighbors cupcakes and, thanks to excellent chocolate frosting, we struck up friendships with the whole apartment complex. We have yet to do that in our Vegas complex!
