inexorable thirst

I've been on the rim of several conversions.  One of the Great Wonders of The World is following the zig zag trail from skepticism to surrender.  From lethargy to Light.

Ofttimes pain is involved.  When the lights go out, travel toward The Light seems the only viable option.  But what intrigues me is the catalyst.  The tipping point.  The last-straw heartache that pushes the cry from deep within, "My Lord and God.  I need Thee."

A year ago I hitched my string to the kite of a columnist on The American Thinker, Robin of Berkeley.  Robin's early life was spent in a secular Jewish family which practiced no faith other than the superstitious 'spit over your shoulder' crapshoot variety.  Against all odds, God's Invisible Hand steered Robin to a Christmas Eve service a year ago.  She describes the experience in this article:  http://www.robinofberkeley.com/2011/01/30/the-hungry-ghosts/

Robin is falling in love.  There's no turning back.  Once the water-alive has been tasted, nothing else will do.
